Po raz pierwszy od kilkunastu lat w wyborach samorządowych Robert Choma nie mógł zagłosować sam na siebie. Prezydent Przemyśla zdecydował bowiem, że nie ubiega się o reelekcję.

– Nie miałem wątpliwości na kogo głosować – powiedział Robert Choma.
Jakie to uczucie? – Jest trochę inaczej – przyznał nam tuż po wrzuceniu kart do urny. Dodał, że to głosowanie jest istotne dla miasta i naszej małej ojczyzny, jaką jest Podkarpacie. – Nie miałem wątpliwości, na kogo głosować i jestem przekonany, że dobrze oddałem głos – powiedział.
R. Choma zagłosował w niedzielę rano w lokalu wyborczym w Szkole Podstawowej nr 1. Wychodząc, w drzwiach spotkał się z Markiem Kuchcińskim, który również przyszedł oddać głos w wyborach samorządowych. Marszałek Sejmu zauważył, że po raz pierwszy wybieramy władze samorządowe na 5-letnią kadencję. Stwierdził, że nasi przedstawiciele będą odpowiadali nie tylko za rozwój miasta, gminy, powiatu i województwa, ale będą również decydowali, na co wydawać nasze wspólne pieniądze z podatków.
